Cuyahoga County votes to waste $38 million on Garfield Heights location they want for new jail

On Sept 26th, the Cuyahoga County council voted to buy a plot of land in Garfield Heights. County Executive Chris Ronanye wants this to be the site of the new jail, a project he campaigned against before his election.


There is widespread opposition to the Garfield Heights site, and it turns out council purchased the land without doing an environmental report on it.
